Ray is the designer, builder, owner and operator of FreeSpirit Recording Studio in Dallas, Texas. Conceived as an outlet for his creative spirit, the studio is a full-time self-imposed dream reality.

Having lived in many different states and countries, Ray along the way has held a variety of job titles:
Theatrical Producer, Sound & Lighting Designer/Engineer, Touring and Recording Musician, Rehearsal Studio Co-Partner, Electronic Technician, Computer Store Manager, Electronics Instructor, 4th and 5th Grade Teacher, and a few others that shall go unnamed.
With degrees in Electronics, Business, and Education, and having been exposed to many different types of music and people from an early age, Ray is simply not just a Recording Engineer. Having seriously studied musical composition and arranging, and being an accomplished musician himself, Ray understands the musical recording process from both sides of the recording console. "Music is an expressive art form and I treat it as such".
